My profession is my way of making a positive difference in my little corner of the world. Treating people right, doing good work, and taking care of my staff gives me a lot of satisfaction.

My goal is to make high quality dentistry less stressful and more affordable. I work hard to inform patients about all their options and let them make the choice without any pressure from me or my team. Whether a patient just wants minimal care to treat an acute issue or in-depth, long-term repair and maintenance, each person is treated the same. I want to exceed patients’ expectations about what a dental visit is going to be like and make it more comfortable and enjoyable then they ever thought possible.

The people are what really make me excited to come to work each day. I love meeting new people and getting to know something about them, even if we’re just making small talk or telling jokes. My patients make me smile, and I hope to do the same for them.

Education and Continuing Education

One of the main reasons I find dentistry to be exciting and fun is that it is ever evolving. I enjoy learning new ideas about treatment and improving my knowledge and skills. I believe this is the only way for my patients to get the best dentistry available.

I continually attend continuing education in all aspects of dentistry to stay up to date and improve my ability to care for my patients. I recently have attended courses on dental implants, root canals, Invisalign®, and cosmetic veneers and crowns.

Outside the Office

I grew up just north of Wichita in Hesston, and currently reside in College Hill, Wichita. I have three beautiful women in my life. My wife Jennifer Unruh and my two daughters: six-year-old Vivien and four-year-old Victoria (the photo is a little old).

When I’m not with my family or at the office, I enjoy exercising and often bike to work. I also often run over my lunch break, slowly, so if you see someone struggling down the street at a mediocre pace it could be me!  I also really enjoy reading history, scifi and fantasy books.
